You can help us

Although we receive money from our investment fund and various organisations, there is never enough do everything that is needed. That's where new donors come in: you can help us extend the work we do and help improve the lives of even more people.

How can you help?

Donations

You can donate money, tax free, from your business. This might be a regular donation or a one-off; it's up to you. You can also donate equipment, land, resources or consumable products needed by the Foundation.

Partnership

By accessing expertise and sharing resources and skills, partnerships can provide mutual benefit whilst also giving projects the critical mass and momentum they require for success.

Over the years the Foundation has become a partner with provincial and local government, other local companies, non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and communities in their efforts to improve the education and skills base, fight the high rate of unemployment in the region, reduce the impact of HIV/AIDS, and stimulate local economic development.

Quote, unquote

Don't just take our word for it; here's what the local municipal manager had to say about our vital role in the Ba-Phalaborwa community:

“True to the predictions as well as declarations in my comments for 2005, Private Public Partnership (PPP) was put on a sound and firm foundation in that the Palabora Foundation pledged to assist the Ba-Phalaborwa Municipality in the Local Economic Development area with the development of tourism as a priority. The communities within the jurisdictional area of our Municipality will continue to benefit from the growing and deepening partnership with the Foundation. The Foundation also has a direct contact with the communities under the Traditional Authority area. Under these communities, the Community Development Committee (CDC) is the vehicle for contact with the communities as demonstrated in 2006. The HIV/AIDS Programmes run by SHE Rasebotsa are indeed the best in the country as evidenced by a report on the Sowetan/Old Mutual Community Builder of the Year Competition. The Palabora Foundation continues to contribute a big budget for books in the Municipality’s library; it is also a valued supporter of our Disaster Management Division. Both the Palabora Foundation and the Ba-Phalaborwa Municipality are committed to deepen our relationship in order to realise a better life for all our communities.”

– Quote from Advocate NA Mudunungu, Municipal Manager, Ba-Phalaborwa Municipality.

Who has already helped?

There have been too many organisations over the years since the Foundation began for us to list everyone here. However, our biggest thanks go to our partners.
