What I do
- Facilitate safety to the staff members
- To present safety induction to the learners and contractors
- To improve and promote safety at Palabora Foundation
- To observe The Palabora Foundation Safety Standard and Procedures
- Any other measures determined by the manager on any matter affecting the health and safety of employees
- Conduct all incident investigations at The Palabora Foundation.
I joined The Palabora Foundation in June 2002.
What I did before
I matriculated in 1967. I started work at Phalaborwa Water Board and Department of Education. I joined Palabora Mining Company Limited at the end of 1969 where I worked as the maintenance artisan helper and in 1971 I joined the Safety Department, where I stayed until January 2002.
Safety training course certificates; I worked for Palabora for 34 years. Before I joined Palabora I worked for Palabora Water Board as a water sample taker, and at the Department of Education as an unqualified teacher.
A bit about me
Born in Modjadjiskloof, stayed there and grew up there.
