What I do
- Enhance LED enabling environment and support economic development initiatives.
- Develop Greater Phalaborwa into a safe, prosperous and popular ecotourism destination built on sustainability and best practice.
- Facilitate and assist in developing a diversified eco-tourism destination involving the whole of Greater Phalaborwa with the local Municipality.
- Manage a community-based tourism office at the Bollanoto Centre for the tourism and hospitality community.
I consulted to the Foundation in 2005 and was given a fixed term contract for 1 year for 2006 and this has subsequently been extended for another 2 years.

- Cost and Management Diploma (Technikon) M3
- Business Management Diploma (Technikon) M3
- SAPICS/ APICS (American Production and Inventory Control)

I was employed at ADE, Atlantis Diesel Engines in Cape Town for 20 years prior to moving to Phalaborwa in 2000 to Consult at Foskor in the Procurement Department.
A bit about me
I support local economic development of communities. I have been married to Mariette for 25 years and have two boys who attend Kingfisher Private School in Phalaborwa – Brett 18 and Dale 16. I really enjoy working with people and therefore my current position of growing tourism and economic development for the Greater Ba-Phalaborwa is challenging, very rewarding and hopefully we will all reap the benefits.
I couldn't live without...
... my family & friends, golf clubs and a good bottle of dry white wine.
